Travel Latina

Hi everyone! It has been a while since I posted, 5 years to be exact. I wanted to introduce the change to my blog because I believe it has finally become what it was supposed to be from the beginning. It progressed from my personal study abroad trip experience in France where I lived for a year, to my last year at the University of Michigan with my involvement in the Latinx and social justice community, to now.

This all started when I was inspired by TravelNoire on Instagram to create something similar that represents Latinas who travel. I created Travel Latina back in Mach 2015 on Instagram to feature photography of Latinas traveling the world. I am passionate about traveling, blogs about travel, articles about travel, or general posts about Latinxs. Considering this, it only felt right to create an Instagram account ( to post about what I am passionate about.

I believe that Hispanics and/or Latinxs contribute a large amount to the economy in the U.S. (not to mention the contribution made by Latin Americans & Caribbean people outside of the U.S too). Latinxs are all beginning to travel more and more, closely following the Millennial trend to do so. I want to revolutionize how the travel industry sees our potential market and to make sure they do not stereotype us negatively like the media regularly does, all while creating agency for us. I want to be a part of this revolution of first generation of Latin@s, specifically of Latinas or gender neutral Latinxs, who travel the world prevalently!

Travel Latina

The posts on this blog will be similar to Travel Latina on Instagram, but they will include more details about our own personal trips, travel deals, travel tips, featuring Latinas (primarily who travel), and general news concerning Latinxs.
