Meet Jade Whyne
The creator of “Divas in Paradise”, “V2Volunteer”, and “Sol’s Oasis” in Oracabessa, Jamaica.
Jade Whyne is the Managing Director of V2 Volunteer & Vacation, a UK registered company offering travel experiences in the Caribbean and Latin America. Under the V2 brand she also offers a bespoke experience for women, namely Divas in Paradise.
Jade grew up in the UK, Jamaica, Bolivia, and Ecuador. She has worked, traveled, and volunteered across Latin America. She is bilingual in English and Spanish, with a little Quichua, learnt from living in an indigenous community in Ecuador during part of her childhood. In 2017 Jade moved back to Jamaica where she currently runs her business.
Jade is passionate about women’s and ethnic minority rights, responsible travel, giving back to the community, and showcasing local culture.
About Divas in Paradise
Divas in Paradise (DIP) is a bespoke travel experience created for women of color, establishing a comfortable space to discuss and further understand issues that impact us most. We soak up the sun and explore paradise, whilst sharing our experiences through a series of sisterhood workshops which aim to leave us feeling aware, empowered, and inspired.
They curate bespoke Diva experiences for special interest groups – Black Girls Book Club is one example of their themed adventures. By partnering with influencers, groups, and clubs - DIP hosts specific focused trips.
Latinas in Paradise
Latinas in Paradise came about as a collaboration between Divas in Paradise and Travel Latina.
Ale, the founder of Travel Latina, and Jade met seven years ago. Since meeting they have come to share an appreciation of how they both strive to encourage travel amongst women and non-binary people of the Latin American & Caribbean diaspora. Their similar stance in promoting travel whereby women & non-binary people connect, embrace their roots, feel inspired and are mindful of their travel choices has brought them together to offer Latinas in Paradise – a warm welcome to paradise.

Why thIS Trip?
The intent of the trip is for participants to take some time out to relax in paradise and meet new people all within a safe space. Our trip to Jamaica is all about you! Leave all your stress behind and come prepared to be immersed into island life. Throughout your stay, Jade wants you to enjoy, relax, and feel comfortable.

The Diva Flow Itinerary
Day 1 - Welcome to Jamaica
Arrival
The DIP team will be there to greet you at the airport after you touch down in Jamaica. After meeting up with the rest of the divas and head to your home for the next few days.
Evening
Arrive at our accommodation with time to settle in, relax and freshen up before attending our Friendsgiving Dinner and social at the accommodation Included: Evening meal & Cocktails
Day 2 - Explore Jamaica’s Beauty
Morning
Start the morning with a yoga session before sitting down for our traditional Jamaican breakfast.
Mid-Afternoon
Take a short jungle trek to a collection of impressive waterfalls and swimming holes that will keep us entertained for a few hours.

Enjoy your first free evening, make the most of the local amenities or venture out to explore on your own. We have some great recommendations from where to dine, unwind, or turn up.
Day 3 - Immerse Into the Culture
Morning – Jamaican Dance Class
Immerse into the rhythms and melodies that move this small island and have influenced the world for decades. Our local award winning dance instructor will showcase the latest dance moves alongside his unique choreographer. You will be sure to feel the connection between Dancehall and Reggaeton.
Afternoon – Green Grotto Caves & Luminous Lagoon
This experience is a 4.5 hour tour where you will visit the historical caves of Green Grotto once home to the first inhabitants of the island. You’ll participate in a guided tour of these caves and then enjoy a late lunch at a local famous jerk chicken hot spot. After lunch your tour will continue with a swim in the glowing water of Luminous Lagoon, one of only a few like it in the world. This natural wonder offers a once in a lifetime experience.
Day 4 - Departure
Morning
Leave Jamaica feeling refreshed, inspired and full of a renewed sense of adventure. Leave with unforgettable experiences gained during this once in a lifetime trip. As you say goodbye, you will leave knowing you have made new friends you will want to keep in touch with.
Accommodation
The “Ocean House” porch, one of the cottage houses used for guest lodging on Jade’s “Sol’s Oasis” property in Oracabessa, Jamaica.
Sol’s Oasis - A contemporary Caribbean four bedroom & four bathroom house in Oracabessa, offering spacious indoor-outdoor living space and sleeping up to 15. Nestled on one acre of land. The accommodation is a short walk away from the shores of the world famous James Bond Beach.
Participants share rooms with up to 2 or 3 others sharing an ensuite bathroom. Shared kitchen and common area.
The property has two friendly dogs, so please let us know if you have any allergies or are uncomfortable around dogs.

COVID Restrictions
Jamaica currently does not require proof of vaccination or PCR/antigen test to enter the country. However, because we do take the health of local Jamaicans seriously, we are requiring participants of this trip to present a copy of their vaccination card for COVID-19 and boosters to go along with the deposit payment.
Price & Payment Plans
Total cost - $659 USD
Deposit required - $150 USD (Non refundable)
Flexible payment plan available. Pay as you go via up to three installments (example - after deposit is paid, make three payments of $169.67 plus a $15.33 admin fee addition for each separate installment, which is a total of $185 per each of the 3 installments). The last payment is due 1 month before the first day of the trip.
